Allotments

The parish owns four allotment sites. One in Icklesham, one in Rye Harbour and two in Winchelsea. Some sites run an allotment holders association. Plots are generally either 5 or 10 rods in size, although there are some exceptions. Tenancy agreements are issued to plot holders and rent is charged yearly in March. Plots are allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and if sites are fully let, we do maintain waiting lists.
If you would like to apply for an allotment please complete an application form and send it to the Clerk either via email to ickleshampc@hotmail.co.uk or by post to PO BOX 148, Winchelsea, TN31 9FP.
Following the tenants meeting on the 4th February 2019 the allotment rules have been revised, taking into accounts comments made at the meeting and by email. The final rules, approved by Council in March 2019 are below.
A copy of the new allotment tenancy agreement and rules is below.
The Parish Council now has an Allotment Committee and Working Group.
